Gable boxes

Designing gable boxes yourself is easy with our free design tools - you don't need any special knowledge or software. Our FreeDesign tool guides you step by step and the free templates make designing your boxes simple.

Note that we only print on the outside of the gable boxes! We use the classic CMYK four-colour printing system, which allows you to print many colours as well as photos on your own boxes. Your gable boxes will be delivered punched, glued on one side and grooved flat. For logistical reasons, delivery is unfolded. These boxes are easy to fold because they have an automatic base. As soon as the box is erected, the base is also erected automatically.

We print gable bags in the following formats 180 x 65 x 210 millimetres or 250 x 100 x 300 millimetres - ideal for small giveaways at trade fairs and events or a small gift for your customers. A self-designed gable box shows that you have also taken care of the details. Create a great first impression! It's important that you take care of one thing when creating the print file: trim two millimeters - this means that these two millimeters of your artwork will not be printed around the edges. The trim is the cutting edge that is created when the boxes are cut out.

Your gable box will be even more beautiful if you choose an additional finishing for your design. The Softtouch film gives the box a wonderfully non-slip, velvety surface that simply feels lovely. An additional glossy foil makes colours appear even stronger and gives your self-made box a slight shimmer. We recommend a matt film for gable boxes that are to be used several times or that have to survive a long day at the fair undamaged: it makes your boxes less likely to receive scratches or any other minor damage.

You simply select the finishes in the online configurator: open the menu and click on the desired option. The costs for the additional refinements are displayed immediately. If you do not have a suitable photo design for your individually printed gable box at hand, you'll find many design ideas in our image database.

We only use GC2 chromo board for printing your self-designed gable boxes. This material is stable and does not bend. The cardboard is double coated on the printable side. This means that two layers of binding agents are applied to ensure a smooth, closed surface and thus a better print image. You can choose between 300 and 350 gsm grammage, i.e. the weight per square metre. For comparison: a conventional sheet of printer paper has a grammage of 80 gsm.
