Design ideas for your photo calendar: Creating your own calendar in just a few clicks with the Easyprint online tool

Homemade presents always attract attention at Christmas, but even for birthdays, it will be more than just grandma who appreciate the personal gesture.

When it comes to your calendar, which will be a hit among partners, relatives, friends or the kids, we offer you ideas and design tips which can also be applied by businesses, schools and kindergartens.

Launching the online tool

01 Creating the calendar

Towards the bottom of our homepage, you’ll see a selection of all the products we currently offer. To select a calendar, click on the arrow on the right-hand side. Then click on the calendar.

After launching our FreeDesign online tool, you’ll set the start of the calendar year and the desired month. You are thus totally flexible, and can define the calendar year accordingly, e.g. for a school year.

02 Selecting a design

The calendar still looks a bit drab. You can view some of the designs in the menu for inspiration. There are samples for various occasions, professional purposes, personal purposes, and pure text designs. After making your selection, you will be shown numerous templates. If you want to see a different category, click on the relevant button in the top left-hand corner and simply select the one you want. Clicking on a design opens it up for further editing.

01 Inserting a photo

What could be better than giving your loved ones a very personal calendar with photos of the special moments from your relationship? To insert the best photos, first retrieve page one. Beneath the design preview, you will then see an option to retrieve the rest of the calendar’s pages. Click through to the next page. To insert a photo, go to Upload own data > Photo in the menu.

02 Positioning a photo

In the dialogue box, enter the first photo you want to insert. Once opened, drag the photo into the calendar. Then close the upload window and click on the photo. You can now enlarge it using the sizing handle in the bottom right-hand corner. The top left-hand gripper tool allows you to position the image. The result can serve as Christmas present for the whole family. But just make sure that every family member has their “own” month.

Calendars for kindergartens and schools

01 Selecting a theme

Kindergartens and primary schools always welcome ideas for raising money, e.g. for their sponsor association, which may want to buy new playground equipment. This is the perfect opportunity to sell a homemade calendar at the end of the year. On the homepage, go back to the calendar and select the year and month in which you want it to start. Under Designs, you’ll see suitable templates, e.g. in the “First day of school” category.

02 Inserting image material

A calendar can be personalised by then inserting image material which the children themselves have created, or of course which depict the children at school or kindergarten. To do this, go to Upload own data > Photo, select the photo, and drag it into the template once uploaded. You can position it by clicking and dragging. Then fit it to an appropriate size using the handle at the bottom right-hand corner. This allows every page to have a suitable photo.

Calendars for businesses

01 Business design

We also offer numerous professional templates for businesses, to create attractive promotional gifts. On the homepage, click on the Calendar product and select the time frame in which you want the calendar to start. Then go to Designs > Business and simple select your industry.

02 Inserting photos

Click on Upload own data > Photo, select the first photo, and drag it into the template once uploaded. Position the photo using the handle at the top left-hand corner. Then fit it to a suitable size using the handle in the bottom right-hand corner. Follow this process to add a photo for every month.
